To change system title in web interface:

  1. Create a copy of default settings file (if not created earlier):

    cp /usr/local/saymon/client/default-client-config.js /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js
  2. Enter new title to the custom settings file ( /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js) as follows:

    title: '<your-new-name>'
  3. Reload the webpage.


To change grid pitch and color:

  1. Create a copy of default settings file (if not created earlier):

    cp /usr/local/saymon/client/default-client-config.js /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js
  2. Enter new values in  grid section of the custom settings file ( /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js) as follows:

    grid: {
    dim: 20,  // размер
    color: 'rgb(128, 128, 128)'  // цвет
    }
  3. Reload the webpage.


To disable milliseconds for probe period of check settings:

  1. Create a copy of default settings file (if not created earlier):

    cp /usr/local/saymon/client/default-client-config.js /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js
  2. Enter new option to the custom settings file ( /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js) as follows:

    millisecondMonitoring: false,
  3. Reload the webpage.


To enable "Styles" tab to edit custom styles of objects in parameters section:

  1. Create a copy of default settings file (if not created earlier):

    cp /usr/local/saymon/client/default-client-config.js /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js
  2. Enter new option to the custom settings file ( /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js) as follows:

    canEditObjectStyle: true,
  3. Reload the webpage.


Custom colors and styles of objects and states can be setup in a local css file on a server of the system:

/usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js

In case if there is no this folder, please perform the following commands on the server:

mkdir -p /usr/local/saymon/client/saymon.local/css
touch /usr/local/saymon/client/saymon.local/css/saymon.local.css


To add fields from objects properties to alarms:

  1. Create a copy of default settings file (if not created earlier):

    cp /usr/local/saymon/client/default-client-config.js /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js
  2. In the new default settings file  /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js add the property name that is used in the object, and the name that will be used in alarms displaying:

    incidents: {
      additionalFields:
        ['owner.properties.IP-Address','owner.properties.location_street'],
      additionalFieldNames:
        ['IP-Address','Street']
    }
  3. Reload the webpage.


To turn off the notification about the disconnected connections:

  1. Create a copy of default settings file (if not created earlier):

    cp /usr/local/saymon/client/default-client-config.js /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.js
  2. In the new default settings file  /usr/local/saymon/client/client-config.jsadd the parameter  hideConnectionStatusNotifications:

    "hideConnectionStatusNotifications" : "turn off the notifications about the disconnected connections (false or true, false by default)"
  3. Reload the webpage.
